Hello and Happy Holidays!
2020 is almost over and we’re all still mostly housebound….. But, we haven’t run out of chances to do good, support other Browncoat groups, and find thoughtful and unique gifts for the holidays!
Here are 2 different events that might interest you:
Dec. 6, noon, PST - We’ve teamed up with the Utah Browncoat Society to put on one more virtual screening party/auction this year in support of Can’t Stop The Serenity/Equality Now. The event begins at noon Pacific time. The special guest speaker will be Cheryl Cain - writer of the episode War Stories! She will give us insights as we all watch the episode together on our own devices. The Q&A will be followed by an auction. The auction list is quite extensive, but a few fun bits include things donated by Skip Crank, Prop Master on Firefly, as well as some signed items, art, figurines and other goodies ripe for giving! (Or keeping - we won’t tell!) These have been truly fun events with lots of behind the scenes info from people who were actually on the set. Even if you don’t want to bid on stuff, come to enjoy some time with other Browncoats. Dec. 5 - Dec. 11, The Alberta Browncoats Society are having an online auction via their facebook event page (https://www.facebook.com/events/401898897838800) and brand new Instagram account (http://instagram.ca/abbrowncoats). Yes, Canada is far away and shipping will probably take a bit… but there are no less than 6 items signed by Nathan Fillion!! Make someone’s whole year by bidding on some goods signed by the Captain and support some very excellent causes. There are also things signed by Eddie McClintock (Warehouse 13) and Felicia Day (The Guild, Supernatural) and lots of other swag and Browncoat gear. This auction benefits charities local to them, including Yess and E4C.

Even if you don’t have time to check out these events yourself, PLEASE share or let other Browncoats know. This has been a hard year on all of us, and this is one way for us all to be a little closer, and to make our world a bit shinier.
