Comic-Con 2008 Exclusive - Serenity: Better Days #1

The California Browncoats are excited to announce that we will be selling copies of a Limited Edition Serenity: Better Days #1 from Dark Horse Comics, written by Joss Whedon and Brett Matthews. This comic will feature a California Browncoat/Comic-Con exclusive cardstock cover and is limited to 5,000 copies. The cover is the pencil art version of the rare Dark Horse 100 cover done by series artist Will Conrad. We are proud to donate 100% of the profits from sale of this comic to Kids Need to Read.

“Thank you for supporting Kids Need to Read through the purchase of this special edition comic. Your contribution will be used to bring the magic of books into the lives of children.” - Nathan Fillion and PJ Haarsma

Serenity: Better Days #1

The Exclusive comic will sell for $10.00 and at least 500 copies are guaranteed available every day of the convention, including Preview Night. Even if you only make it to Comic-Con for one day, you’ll be able to get your hands on this special edition. We would like to thank the sponsors who provided funds and Dark Horse Comics for their dedication, support, and effort in the production of this comic. Without them, this comic would not have been possible.

Virtual Comic-Con Purchasing

If you are not attending Comic-Con, but want to get this special comic, we are planning an exciting opportunity for you. Starting at 6 PM PST on July 23rd, we will have multiple auctions on eBay starting at the convention price. All proceeds after costs and fees will be donated to Kids Need to Read.

We’re giving you the chance to buy it direct so not only won’t you pay outrageous mark-ups from those who might list them after buying from us, but you know your money will go directly to Kids Need to Read. If any of the comics have a winning bid over $10, CABC will donate that money to KNTR as well. The auctions will run only during the 5 days of Comic-Con, making them a “virtual exclusive”. Bookmark our eBay page for the big day.
